New recycling service introduced on Burnham seafront

A new litter recycling service has been introduced on Burnham's seafront near the jetty this week.

The bin has been installed on The Esplanade to encourage beach users and seafront walkers to recycle their waste.

"The bin will be emptied daily by Sedgemoor's Clean Surroundings team, who can often be seen in the area ensuring the town is clean and tidy," Sedgemoor District Council spokeswoman Sam Elliott told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"All recyclable materials will be delivered to Somerset Waste Partnership for processing."
