Jim Tancock, the outgoing President of Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club, has this week presented a final round of cheques to several local good causes.

The benefiting groups included Brent Knoll Guides, Burnham Sea Cadets, Sounds and Voices, Burnham and Highbridge Gateway Club and the RNLI.

Jim also used the event, pictured here, to deliver the presentation as his last act before finally retiring as Rotary President.

All the groups received cheques except for the RNLI, which will receive a gift of a resuscitation manikin to help with its first aid training.

Pictured at the cheque presentation in Burnham lifeboat station are Joyce Dunbavan and Jack White from Sounds and Voices, Rotary President Elect Ian Breed, Barbara Thorogood from the Gateway Club, Brent Knoll Brownies Lily Lauran and Paris, Leader Jane Sinnott and Lyn Burland of Hillview Junior Carnival Club.

Also pictuerd are Burnham Sea Cadets’ Cory Hayes, Matt Tutton and Bob Silverthorne, plus Burnham RNLI Chairman Graham Wills.
