A year after almost being wound up due to a lack of members, Burnham-On-Sea’s Round Table has bounced back following an influx of new supporters.

The Burnham group has appointed a new Chairman, Tim Walters, and President, Nick Tolley, who are breathing new life into the organisation.

A number of fundraising events are being planned by the group’s sixteen members to help local good causes over the coming year – and newcomers are welcome to join.

Tim told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were faced with being wound up a year ago, but a lot of effort has been put in to attract new members and we’re now back stronger than ever. We have a lot of fun activities planned for the next few months.”

Tim and the group’s Vice Chairman, Carlo De Gregorio, will be taking part in a 250-mile bike ride, the Trans Pennine Trail, in June this year to raise money – and many other events are being planned.

Burnham Round Table meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month and new members aged 18+ are encouraged to get in touch. For more details, contact Tim by email here. The group is also interested to hear from local good causes needing financial support.
