Burnham-On-Sea fire crews tackle ‘deliberate’ rubbish blaze

-

Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called to tackle a large rubbish blaze besides the M5 motorway on Thursday evening (September 2nd).

Crews used hose reel jets to bring the blaze under control in Edingworth at 6.50pm.

Fire brigade spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “One fire engine from Burnham was called to Edingworth, near East Brent, to tackle this rubbish blaze.”

“Several hose reel jets were used to extinguish the blaze and damp down the rubbish. Our investigations show the fire was deliberately set.”
