Scarecrow invasion sweeps roadsides in Watchfield!

-

Road verges in Watchfield, near Burnham-On-Sea, were alive with strange characters at the weekend when the village held its annual scarecrow festival.

Fifteen of the colourful creations were put together by local residents and then hung outside homes, on fences, and in hedegrows through the village.

One of the organisers, Mary Chalker, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a good turnout and lots of interest. Visitors were encouraged to walk or cycle around Watchfield to find as many of the scarecrows along the way.”
