Two young Explorer Scouts have been selected to represent Burnham-On-Sea in the Somerset contingent attending the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden next year – but to get there they need to raise £2,000.

Rebecca Roseff and Emily Burland, pictured, hope to attend the biggest scout camp in the world next August after competing for their places against dozens of other applicants during a two-day selection process.

Emily told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Every Explorer Scout has to raise £2,000 to get themselves to Sweden in August 2011, and we are kick-starting our challenge with a coffee morning this Saturday.”

To kick-off their fundraising, the duo are serving coffee and cakes this Saturday (26th June) at the Baptist Church in College Street to raise funds for their trip.

To help Emily and Rebecca, visit this Saturday’s event, or a second coffee morning being held on Saturday 24th July. More details are available here.
