Knoll garden centre launches search for a Christmas star
Garden World in Brent Knoll has this week invited parents, grandparents,
guardians and teachers from across the area to nominate a child
who they think deserves to be a hailed a 'star'.
The garden centre is looking for nominations for a special child
who has overcome adversity or has had a significant achievement
in their life and has exhibited some amazing qualities.
General Manager, Peter Burks, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We
recently opened our Winter Wonderland displays to customers. However,
on Saturday November 13th we are officially launching our Santas
grotto and were looking for one special child to come to
the event as our VIP guest and be treated as a star."
The winner will be invited to assist with cutting a ceremonial
ribbon to declare Santas grotto officially open and will
have a free pass for four people to the Winter Wonderland. They
will also receive four free passes to see Santa in his grotto.
Peter added: "The Winter Wonderland Experience has five themes
for customers to enjoy including: Rudolph, the North Pole, a Christmas
train and Santas grotto."
Parents, grandparents, guardians and teachers can write in to
Peter at the garden centre to give details of who they wish to
nominate for the title and why.
All letters must include clear contact details of the nominator
with their address and telephone number. By entering the competition,
the winner agrees to take part in publicity.
All the entries will be put into a hat and the first one pulled
randomly from the hat will be invited to be the star. The closing
date for nominations is Thursday, November 4th at 5pm and the
winning child will be notified on Friday November 5th by telephone.
Entries should be sent to: Peter Burks, General Manager, Star
