Burnham-On-Sea shop unveils fundraising ‘shoe scrappage’ scheme!

-

A Burnham-On-Sea shoe shop is offering customers the opportunity to trade in their old shoes and help the Salvation Army.

Shickle Shoes in the High Street is offering £5 off each purchase of Rohde shoes when shoppers bring in a pair of old shoes for recycling.

The offer will run until May 10th and every pair of shoes in a suitable condition will be donated to the Salvation Army to be recycled.

Director Geoff Shickle told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted to have been chosen by Rohde Shoes as the only store in the country to host this campaign.”

“Shoes are frequently stuffed in cupboards and wardrobes, never to be worn again, and with this in mind, not only can you re-cycle but you will also get some money off towards the purchase of a new pair.”

He continued: “For each pair of old shoes brought into the store, you will be entitled to £5 off each new pair purchased. In return, the Salvation Army will benefit from a supply of second hand shoes that they can put to good use.”
