Abandoned baby squirrels released by wildlife carers in Burnham-On-Sea

-

Wildlife carers have this week released several abandoned baby squirrels back into the wild in Burnham-On-Sea after nursing them back to good health.

The abandoned young animals were taken to Secret World Wildlife Centre by concerned members of the public earlier this year and have this week been released into a woodland at Burnham Holiday Village.

“The team at Secret World have hand-reared them for more than four months, feeding them a special type of milk, before deciding they were strong enough to be returned to the wild,” said Burnham Holiday Village spokesman Keith James.
