over £1,000 for Burnham church's roof repairs

roof in Burnham-On-Sea during a well-attended summer fete on Saturday
crowd of supporters flocked to the town's St Andrew's Church for
an afternoon of fun activities to raise money for the £12,500
replacement of its lead roof which was struck
by thieves in June.
Graham Witts told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was a very good
afternoon. We are very pleased that a sum of £1,100 was
raised towards the cost of carrying out repairs to our roof."

space for music, a raffle and other entertainment."
