St John Badgers celebrate success at annual awards night

-

Members of Highbridge’s St John Ambulance Badgers have been celebrating success after receiving awards during the group’s annual presentation evening.

Three ‘Superbadger’ Awards were handed to Katie Watts, Paige Heyward and Jaymie Whitehouse, as pictured on the right, to mark their long service with the group.

“This award is the highest award a Badger can achieve. They have to study 12 different subjects over a period of four years,” Julia Gibson, Badger Leader, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Meanwhile, Juliette Bissell and Tamzin Coggins were promoted to be ‘follow me badgers’ and will now be able to assist their leaders in various tasks, including organising weekly games and taking the register.

Several other Badgers were also presented with various certificates to congratulate them on passing their subjects, which ranged from ‘communicate’ to ‘hungry’.

A group of new members was also welcomed during the evening. Kyran Fordham, Ophelia and Connie Hazelton-Cavill, Ellie and Lacey Merritt, Rhys Williams, Jack and Kamile Howard and Lucy Prowse all joined the group.
