Police appeal for witnesses after stolen car involved in collision

-

Burnham-On-Sea police have appealed for witnesses after the driver of this stolen car was allegedly involved in a town centre crash at the weekend.

Police found the damaged car in Steart Drive on Sunday afternoon, as pictured here, but there was no trace of the driver.

Officers say the vehicle was also seen in Victoria Street in Burnham at around 3.45pm when it collided with a passing car.

Police spokeswoman Claire Stanley told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “No one was injured and police located the vehicle shortly after in Steart Drive. No arrests have been made at this point and investigations continue.”

“Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information is asked to call police on 0845 456 7000.”

Burnham-On-Sea.com understands the vehicle was stolen from Burnham Holiday Village several days before Sunday’s collison.
