Burnham-On-Sea Story Circle appeals for more members

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Story Circle is appealing for more members of the public to join their monthly meetings.

The group meets on the last Tuesday of each calendar month in the Dunstan Hotel in Love Lane.

Led by Carrine Allinson, the group occupies a quiet corner of the pub and has been successfully running for several months, however she feels more members would enrich the experience.

“The circle is an informal group of like-minded individuals who come together to tell, and listen to, stories, which are often told with musical accompaniment, to improve atmosphere,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Storytelling is in resurgence, can result in improved literacy, and is an antidote to today’s computer society.”

Carrine can be contacted by email here or by calling 01278 791933 most evenings.
