Recently-opened TA8s in Pier Street has won praise in the latest survey by the district council’s Food Safety Team.
Under the ‘Somerset Food Scores’ scheme, every food premises in the district gets inspected on a regular basis and the new bistro, which opened earlier this month, has got maximum marks.
Owner Harris Beaumont told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Food hygiene is very important to us, so we’re delighted to have achieved five stars. It’s a good reward for our staff for all the hard work they put in behind the scenes.”
‘Somerset Food Scores’ allows customers to see how local schools, hospitals, cafes and restaurants comply with food hygiene regulations.
TA8s opened earlier this month – as reported here by Burnham-On-Sea.com – and has found its unique Caribbean dishes particuarly popular.
