Tea drinkers in Burnham-On-Sea raised more than £400 for St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice on Wednesday (July 21st).

The ‘Tea At 3’ event was held in the town’s Baptist Church Hall in College Street to celebrate 30 years of caring by the hospice.

Organised by Chris and Anne Beckett, the event was attended by the town’s Mayor and Mayoress Michael and Maria Clarke plus St Margaret’s Trustee David Jenkins.

“Over 80 people attended and the event raised £450 for the hospice,” the organisation’s Julie Draper told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “I would like to thank Chris and Anne for once again organising such a wonderful event.”

Raffle prizes were kindly donated by Seabreeze, Take Two Coffee Shop, Burnham Tesco, Rosemary’s Florists and the food was donated by Fortes of Cheddar.
