40 vintage tractors set to arrive on Burnham-On-Sea seafront

-

Over 40 vintage tractors will chug through the Burnham-On-Sea area today (Sunday, April 18th), finishing on the town’s seafront during a vintage tractor road run.

North Somerset Vintage Tractor Club’s members are holding the event, which will start at 10am at Sandford and then wend through Winscombe, Rooksbridge, East Brent and Berrow, before finishing outside the BARB hovercraft station on Burnham seafront.

The tractors are expected to arrive on Burnham’s Esplanade at around 12 noon and will be in place for two hours before departing.

Organiser Sheila Chapman from the North Somerset Vintage Tractor Club told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It should be quite a spectacle. There will be some wonderful old tractors on display and we encourage local people to come out and support us.”

It is the first time that the annual road run has come to Burnham and the event will be raising funds for the town’s rescue hovercraft charity BARB. Further details are available from Mick Chapman on 01275 474649.
