Burnham-On-Sea cul-de-sac whose stunning display of Christmas
lights has been featured in the national media has this week burst
into festive colour again.
sub-zero temperatures, a large crowd of people turned out to watch
the eight Trinity Close homes switch on their decorations on Wednesday
night (December 1st).
event was also marked with a Christmas street party featuring
musical entertainment from Burnham's Curtain Call School Of Performing
Arts, as pictured here.
homes are decorated top to bottom in thousands of lights, including
some low-energy bulbs, and the display is open to the public from
4-10pm each night until January 6th.
lights raised £6,000 for charity last year and this year's
collection will go to Burnham rescue hovercraft charity BARB and
PETAL, The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust.
Nick Gardner told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It's an impressive
display this year, particularly when you consider the poor weather
we've had over the past few days which has made it difficult for
the final preparation work to be completed."
hope to see lots of people over the festive period and raise a
good sum for charity."
