Truck pull fundraisers haul in funds for three good causes

-

A Highbridge resident was among a group of eight musclemen who hauled a huge truck half a mile to raise cash for charity earlier this week.

Andy Bertenshaw took part in the successful fundraiser in which a Somerlap lorry, weighing in excess of 14 tonnes, was pulled by the group of eight men.

The team, who work at timber products manufacturer Somerlap in Mark and Revolution Fitness Gym in Shepton Mallet, raised a total of £500 which is being split between Motor Neurone Disease, Breast Cancer and the Fire Fighters’ Benevolent Fund.

Organiser Barry Moody told Burnham-On-sea.com: “Massive thanks to everyone who has given so generously, and especially friends and family for their encouragement and support.”
