Heave ho! Tug-of-war pulls in funds for Burnham-On-Sea charity

Hundreds of pounds was raised for a local good cause during a fundraising tug-of-war in Brent Knoll, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Bank Holiday Monday (May 31st).

Seven teams tried to out-pull each other during the event outside the Brent Knoll Inn while raising funds for Burnham rescue charity BARB.

Organiser Linda Barry De Santiz told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was a very well supported afternoon, with teams from Wedmore, Highbridge and Burnham taking part, all for a good cause."

The event was won by a team representing Wedmore Young Farmers.
