What a pane! Glass accident shuts part of Burnham-On-Sea street

-

Part of a Burnham-On-Sea town centre street was sealed off by police on Saturday evening (April 24th) amid safety concerns for passing pedestrians.

A pane of glass was accidentally smashed at an upstairs flat, sending shards of glass onto the street and pavements below.

Several metres of Victoria Street outside Animal Fayre pet shop were closed by Burnham Police from 6pm until 8.30pm before the area was declared safe.

Police spokeswoman Sian Davies told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Police were called to Victoria Street after reports that a pane of glass had fallen from a building. The area was secured by the police until a glazier arrived to make the area safe.”
