Police have arrested a man who had to be rescued by fire crews from an upturned car on Sunday night (March 13th).

The Audi A3 left the A370 at Lympsham at 9.11pm and ended up on its side in a water-filled ditch.

Fire engines from Burnham-On-Sea and Weston were called to the scene and the 21-year-old man was freed from his vehicle using a ladder.

Police told that, after being treated at Weston General Hospital for minor injuries, the man was arrested after providing a breath test.
