Man injured in late night assault in Burnham-On-Sea

Police in Burnham-On-Sea have today (Monday) issued an appeal for witnesses after a serious assault in the town over the weekend.

A man in his 30s suffered head injuries during the alleged attack, which ocurred late on Saturday night near the Lynton Road car park, pictured here.

Sgt Ian Kennett told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The victim, aged 33, was allegedly attacked in Marine Drive, near the Lynton Road car park, between 11.15pm on Saturday and 1am on Sunday.”

“He was found by officers with head injuries and required hospital treatment.”

“We are appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to get in contact with us.”
