Burnham’s Lighthouse Children’s Mission heads to town’s beach

-

Members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Lighthouse Children’s Mission have headed to the town’s beach for two days of fun and games.

The event, sponsored by The Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, was held on the sand next to Burnham Pavilion over the past week.

“There was fun for all involved, prizes for the children, and a great feeling of togetherness as the old gospel choruses rang out, and the once-familiar Bible stories were retold in simple language designed to appeal to everyone,” Pastor Peter Bond told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Many, of all ages, leant on the wall along the promenade to listen for a few minutes, proving that the child in all of us lives on. Some, perhaps, could even recall similar missions from their own childhood days. Bags of chips and cups of coffee from the nearby Pavilion sustained the mission team during the break between meetings.”
