Youngsters and supporters at Burnham-On-Sea Scout group’s Beavers section are putting the finishing touches to their own special entry in this year’s Burnham Carnival parade.

As part of the Beavers’ 25th anniversary celebrations, it has built its own cart which will be a part of tomorrow night’s carnival procession.

“The entry is on a birthday theme with the boys on a decorated trailer,” the group’s secretary, Sarah Rendell, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We have been very busy getting the trailer ready and lots of painting is being done over this weekend. All the boys are very much involved with decorating the cart and it’s been a great atmosphere with everyone working together.”

The Beavers leaders, assistants and parents have been busy for several weeks getting the trailer road-legal and preparing art work to go on the side of the entry.
