Members of the Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society (BEES) are performing their autumn production of ‘Annie Junior’ this weekend at the town’s Princess Theatre and Arts Centre.

This year’s show will be the group’s first all-children production in which all the roles will be played by under 14-year-olds.

There will be two performances – 7.30pm on Saturday 19th November, and 3pm on Sunday 20th November.

“This show is the very first show BEES have staged where all of the cast are children and there are no adults in any of the performing roles,” the group’s Sandy Ballantyne told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Whilst this has been a huge challenge we are extremely proud of all the hard work and determination that our young cast has shown and we are delighted with the finished production.”

The popular story centres around Annies’ life in an American orphanage, her dream of finding her parents, a heart-shaped locket, and her eventual adoption by rich American Daddy Warbuck.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 or £5 for concessions in advance. Tickets on the day will cost £9 and £6. Tickets are available from The Princess on 01278 794287.
