Bike owners urged to be vigilant in Burnham-On-Sea after thefts

-

Police in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge have this week urged bike owners in the town to be extra vigilant following several thefts.

A mountain bike worth £400 was stolen last Friday and an off-road scramber was taken the following night.

Sgt Ian Kennett told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A grey Mongoose bike was stolen from a property in Berrow Road last Friday and a red off-road LEM scrambler was taken from the same area on Saturday evening.”

He added: “We would ask anyone offered bikes similar to these to get in touch with us and would advise bike owners to check they are not left in view and are securely locked away when not in use.”

Police appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 456 7000.
