Volunteers from Burnham-On-Sea’s Dreamscheme and Burnham In Bloom groups carried out a tidy-up of the town centre on Sunday ahead of today’s visit by judges from the Britain In Bloom competition.
The group carried out litter picks and tidied up flower beds around Burnham town centre in preparation for the judges’ arrival today (Monday).
Dave Perrett, Chairman of Burnham In Bloom, said: “We’ve caried out a last-minute clean-up in the town and everything is now ready for the judging. We are grateful to everyone who’s helped us – the displays are looking superb.”
Both Burnham and Highbridge received silver gilt awards in last year’s competition and there are high hopes that both towns will do well again this year. Highbridge was judged last Thursday and attracted praise, as we reported here.
