Organisers of Highbridge’s bid to win the Britain in Bloom competition have this week held a special meal to thank Sedgemoor District Council’s gardeners and cleaners for their help in getting the town ready for the judges.
The ‘thank you luncheon’ was held at Southwell House, Highbridge on Wednesday (November 16th) for Sedgemoor’s Clean Surroundings Team.
“We wanted to do something special to recognise them for all their hard work in Highbridge leading up to the judging,” organiser Pam Lyes told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Burnham and Highbridge Mayor Michael and Maria Clarke were also in attendance, as pictured.
The Britain In Bloom judges visited the town earlier this year and the town won a Silver Gilt award in the overall competition, as we reported here.
