Fire crews were called to Rooksbridge, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Thursday afternoon (June 30th) after a farmer reported a bull had got stuck in a ditch.

Two fire appliances from Burnham and a special animal rescue team from Bridgwater were sent to Mendip Road at 2.49pm.

“The bull had become stuck in deep muddy ditch and specialist animal rescue equipment was to remove the animal,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Once the animal was safe, duty of care was left with the farmer.
