sea cadets to parade through Burnham-On-Sea
than 200 youngsters from sea cadet units across Somerset and Dorset
will be marching through Burnham-On-Sea to celebrate Trafalgar
Day on Sunday (October 16th).
This annual parade is rotated around the units of the district
each year, so only comes to Burnham once every eight years.
"The cadets and staff will be 'forming up' in the Morrisons
car park in Pier Street at around 1.15pm to be inspected by Burnham's
Mayor Cllr Michael Clarke and Sea Cadets District Officer,
Lieutenant Commander Steve Coles, before marching along the seafront
to St Andrews Church for a service at 2pm," Matt Harkness,
from Burnham and Highbridge Sea Cadets, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"Afterwards, they will march back to Morrisons, via the
High Street, with a salute from the parade outside the Ritz."
