Trail of damage continues to grow from Burnham-On-Sea vandals

-

Vandals have struck again in Burnham-On-Sea this week, smashing the windows of this car.

The Citroen Xsara was parked in Winchester Road when its windscreen, drivers window and rear screen were smashed on Sunday night.

Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com they are investigating this latest incident, which follows a spate of crimes in recent days.

The car owner – who wishes to remain anonymous – told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There was no entry to the car and nothing was stolen – it was just senseless vandalism.”

He added that he is considering scrapping the vehicle altogether due to the high cost of repairs and a claim on his insurance raising his insurance premium.

Over the past week, vandals have caused damage to a phone box in Burnham Road, several walls and fences on the Rosewood estate, and a guesthouse in Berrow Road.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to come forward by contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
