Two days of car washing at Burnham-On-Sea RNLI station, in conjuction with the RNLI’s National SOS Day, have raised over £1,300 for the charity.

The first event – on Saturday January 29th raised £677.29 – and the second on Saturday February 5th – raised a further £703.61, making a total of £1,380.90.

Ricky Holmes, Lifeboat Operations Manager, at Burnham RNLI said: “Can I thank all the wonderful members of the public who took the time and trouble to come down and get their vehicles cleaned, including taxis, vans and even a motorhome.”

“Also a very very big thank you to all the crew, who once again gave up their free time to work so hard on their day off.”
