Dozens of members of the Coastguard Association from across the UK will gather in Burnham-On-Sea next Spring when the group holds its national AGM.
The charity, which has members from 300 Coastguard stations across the country, will hold its 35th AGM on March 29th and 30th.
Local branch Chairman Dave Ilsley told Burnham-On-Sea.com it is an “honour” that the town has been selected to host the meeting.
“Coastguard Association members in Burnham will be working hard between now and March to ensure our fellow Coastguards and their families from all over the UK have a wonderful weekend,” he said.
“I know that Burnham is a town with a heart and I ask that all townfolk do whatever they can to ensure the event is a resounding success.”
