Highbridge stabbing victim is making a good recovery, say family

-

A man who was stabbed in Highbridge earlier this month is making a good recovery, his family have said this week.

Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported here how 37 year-old James Hobbs had been attacked outside Charlotte Court on January 15th.

Doctors said Mr Hobbs was lucky not to have died due to the severity of the knife injuries to his throat.

Lisa Reed, his partner, said this week that Mr Hobbs has undergone a successful blood transfusion at Bristol’s Southmead Hospital and that he had begun speaking again. She added that he is recovering well, despite still having to be being fed through a tube.

Meanwhile, Jamie Edney, 34, of Charlotte Court in Highbridge – who has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm – will appear at Taunton Crown Court on Tuesday.
