A busy day of Christmas events is being held in the Burnham-On-Sea area today (Saturday, December 3rd). The events include:

St Andrew’s Church in Burnham will be holding its annual Christmas Fair from 10.30am-12.30pm today with coffee, mince pies and various Christmas stalls.

St John’s Church in Highbridge will be holding its Christmas fayre from 10am-12 noon today with a wide range of Christmas gifts on offer.

Sanders Garden World’s Christmas Winter Wonderland will be officially opened on Saturday December 3rd at 12 noon. Burnham’s rescue hovercraft will take Santa to the event – passing through Burnham High Street en route – and a fundraiser will be held in aid of BARB and the Freewheelers at the garden centre from noon.

Burnham Lions will be holding its Christmas concert at the Princess Theatre at 7pm today – more here.

Highbridge Community Hall is holding a Christmas prize bingo evening tonight at 7.30pm. All proceeds will go to the hall decorating fund.

A table top sale will be held at Burnham Catholic Church between 10am and 3pm. Come and find a Christmas bargain. Berrow author Linda Bond will be there signing copies of her latest book, Retishella and Pirate Cool.

Sunday

Berrow’s Christmas Market and Craft Fayre has been organised for Sunday 4th December between 10am and 1pm in Berrow Village Hall. Lots of entertainment and gift ideas from 24 stalls. Look out for a special visit by Father Christmas!

Mike Perrin will be switching on his Christmas lights at 7 Wilde Close in Burnham at 6pm on Sunday with money raised over the festive season going to St Margaret’s Hospice.
