A Christmas tree festival is to open in Burnham-On-Sea today (Saturday, December 10th) when a dozen sparkling trees will go on display for a fortnight.

St Andrew’s Church is holding the annual tree festival and life-size crib scene every day until Christmas Eve.

Local businesses and organisations from Burnham and Highbridge have arranged the decorations on the trees while the Children’s Society Committee has arranged the Crib Scene.

The Christmas trees have been decorated with unique items linked to the sponsoring company. Among the trees is one decorated by the team at Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Organiser Richard Allen, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The trees look wonderful. We have a good selection and they will be lit right up to Christmas Eve.”

The trees will be illuminated for the first time at 6pm on Saturday evening and the church will then be open for the public to view the trees from 10am-4pm each day until Christmas (and on Sunday afternoons). Entry is free, although charity donations are welcome.
