Coffee lovers in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge have raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.

Highbridge’s Aga Shop on the Isleport Industrial Estate has raised £200 for the charity during its fundraising coffee morning (pictured right).

Burnham’s Abbott and Frost Estate Agents in College Street raised a further £201 from its coffee event on Friday (September 30th).

The agent’s David Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The girls in the office provided some most impressive home-made cakes which were enjoyed by everyone attending and we were delighted to raise just over £200.”

And Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll also collected £487.63 by offering customers free tea and coffee on Friday (September 30th) in return for a donation to the charity, as pictured below.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship event and last year more than 43,000 official coffee mornings were held, raising more than £8million for the charity.
