Christmas comes early in Brean for fundraising campers!

Dozens
of holidaymakers in Brean got in a festive mood this week to raise
hundreds of pounds for Burnham-On-Sea's rescue hovercraft charity
BARB by holding a summer display of Christmas lights!
Caravans
and tents at Diamond Farm Holiday Park were decorated with displays
of festival tinsel and inflatable snowmen during the unseasonal
fundraiser. There was even a visit by Santa on a horse-drawn carriage!
Fundraiser
Fran Lear told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "A lot of fun was had
by everyone. The Christmas displays attracted plenty of support
and we were really pleased to raise £670 in just one day.
We had a great response and thank everyone who helped."
A
tombola, raffle and collections were also held by the fundraisers
at Brean's Beachcomber Inn for BARB (Burnham Area Rescue Boat),
which operates two life-saving hovercraft and an inshore rescue
boat.
BARB
Chairman Mark Newman said: "We are hugely grateful to the
Diamond Farm team for their ongoing support of BARB - they always
come up with novel, fun ways to raise money."
