Youngsters at Burnham-On-Sea’s newly-formed Dreamscheme have had a busy half term holiday.

A group of 36 children carried out a planting, weeding and litter-picking session in Burnham town centre, as pictured here, after also helping with the redevelopment of the town’s Marine Cove gardens.

“Flower troughs were planted in Pier Street and along Burnham High Street and also at Burnham Nursing Home and BAY Centre,” leader John Alexander told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“On Thursday, the children were rewaredd for their hard work with a visit to Great Wood in the Quantocks where they had a picnic and played baseball, cricket, football and enjoyed a nature trail and treasure hunt.”

“The Dreamscheme team would like to thank Isleport Foods for sponsoring the printing of the Dreamscheme logo on the back of our waistcoats and Asda’s Highbridge store for supplying all the food for the picnic and, last but not least, all the volunteers that gave their time to make this happen.”
