Police searched two homes in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge when they executed drugs warrants at the weekend.

Properties in Burnham High Street and Burnham Road, Highbridge were searched by officers during their ongoing campaign to clampdown on drug dealing.

A 45 year-old man from Burnham Road was cautioned for production and possession of cannabis.

“Evidence of growing equipment was found and a small amount of cannabis was recovered,” Inspector Roger Tolley told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Other small cannabis seizures were made by Burnham police during the weekend.

A 62 year-old man from Berrow was also charged on Monday (August 22nd) with two drug offences.

He is due to appear before Sedgemoor Magistrates Court on 13th September in relation to the seizure of cannabis plants from his home in the village in June.
