A special concert was held on Saturday night (August 20th) to raise funds for Burnham-On-Sea’s Folkfest.

The award-winning Portishead Band performed a line-up of well-known tunes in front of a packed audience at the town’s Princess Theatre and Arts Centre.

The audience was treated to an evening of entertainment from 28 experienced musicians from the Bristol and North Somerset area.

One of the Folkfest organisers, Dominic Wills, pictured right, explained why fundraising is so important for the event, which costs in excess of £15,000 to run every year.

This year’s Folkfest is just a few weeks away and will be held from September 1st-4th.
