Burnham-On-Sea FolkFest boosted by Easter Day fundraiser

More than £1,000 was raised for Burnham-On-Sea’s annual FolkFest when a day of fundraising was held in the town on Easter Sunday.

Among the live performers at The Railway Inn on Burnham High Street were the FOS Brothers, Phil King, 3 Sheets T’wind, Bouncing Biscuit, Trisexual Winkers, Vermin, Gary French, Nick Elswood and Scratch.

A FolkFest spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A big thank you goes to all who supported and played at this year’s Easter Sunday fundraiser.”

“It was a great event, which raised much-needed funds totalling £1,033.”

“Big thanks also go to Danny Pearce of the Railway for providing both the venue and donating funds towards the running costs.”

This year’s sixth annual FolkFest will be held at venues across Burnham from September 1st -4th.
