Town police launch new residents group at Highbridge Quay

-

Police in Highbridge are seeking volunteers from the Highbridge Quay area of the town to come forward and join a new residents group.

The new organisation is being formed to help residents address local issues and improve community life.

PCSO Claire Finch, pictured this week at Highbridge Quay, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The aim of the group is to provide an opportunity for local residents to address local issues, so these can be progressed through local partners in a multi-agency approach to enhance the quality of life for the local community and drive forward improvements.”

Residents of Highbridge Quay who are interested in joining the new group or finding out more should contact PCSO Claire Finch on 0845 456 7000 or via email here.

A similar group was set up by the Highbridge police beat team in 2008 called HALT (Highbridge and Landlords Together). HALT has been extended since its introduction to work with a number of local landlords covering a majority of housing areas in Highbridge.

These include Property Portfolio, Bluewater, Saxons, Knightstone, Raglan and the Highbridge Quay Management Company to name a few. Meetings are held bi-monthly and provide the opportunity for local issues concerning housing areas or tenants to be addressed.
