A man has been issued with a fine following a ‘senseless’ attack on a charity shop in Burnham town centre last week.

Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported last week that a large window at Weston Hospicecare’s shop in College Street had been smashed.

Police officers who have been investigating the incident have caught the offender and issued him with a penalty notice for causing criminal damage.

PC Tracey Stiles told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “With information provided from the community we have managed to gain the offender’s details and have dealt with him positively. He has received a fine of £80 for his reckless actions.”
