Jail break drama set to unfold at Burnham-On-Sea police station!

A local hospice is seeking adventurous fundraisers to take part in its annual charity jail break, which is due to start in Burnham-On-Sea later this month.

The teams of volunteers will be imprisoned in a cell at Burnham Police Station on Saturday 23rd April and then have until the following day to get as far away from the station as possible without spending any money whatsoever.

"That means no buses, no trains or petrol money. They can hitch a ride and see if they can blag their way onto public transport for free, or do whatever it takes to get as far away as possible, providing no money exchanges hands!" Weston Hospicecare spokeswoman Jennie Bishop told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Last year’s competition (pictured) saw the teams ending up in Paris, Boulogne, Brussels, John O’Groats and Mansfield, raising over £7,500. Those interested in taking part should call organiser Olly Joseph on 01934 423900.
