The owner of this 4×4 encountered a race against time and tide on Burnham-On-Sea’s beach on Monday evening (May 30th).
Two jet skiers got into difficulty while recovering their machines at 6pm next to the town’s jetty.
The wheels of one of their towing vehicles sank into the soft sand and had to be pulled free by the 4×4 pictured here.
“This delayed them leaving the beach and, as the sea had already reached them, they had to drive out into the water in order to get onto jetty,” an onlooker told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The tide was coming in quickly and they looked pretty relieved.”
Several vehicles have been rescued from the beach in recent years after their owners misjudged the incoming tide.
