Highbridge’s King Alfred Concert Band is celebrating its 30th anniversary by holding a special concert on Saturday night (July 9th).
The event will take place in the main hall at King Alfred School at 7pm when members of the public will be very welcome.
An extensive archive of the band’s history in pictures and words will also be on display in the hall at Saturday’s event.
Tickets – priced at £2.50 each – will be available on the door and will include light refreshments.
“We hope to see lots of people in the audience for this special concert, including former band and committee members,” a spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
There will also be a raffle, with the proceeds going to the Nathan Edwards Tennis Academy.
The community band comprises of 34 members of all ages and is composed of woodwind, brass, drums, tympani and percussion. It welcomes new players and further details can be found here.
