Workmen with a head for heights scale Burnham-On-Sea lighthouse

-

You certainly need a head for heights when carrying out maintenance work on this familiar Burnham-On-Sea landmark.

Abseiling workmen attached to ropes have been painting and repairing Burnham’s 33 metre tall lighthouse this week, as pictured.

The brick-built tower in Berrow Road has been given a makeover by its owners during a period of calm autumn weather.

Nearby residents have been watching the daring workers negotiating their way around the building with buckets, tools and equipment attached.
