Lorry gets wedged under Highbridge petrol station canopy
Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called to a petrol station
in Highbridge on Tuesday afternoon (November 1st) after this huge
lorry became wedged underneath the canopy.

Road shortly after 4pm, prompting a call-out for fire crews.
Fire brigade spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Our
crew was called to the garage after a heavy goods vehicle was
in collision with a CCTV pod attached to the canopy."
"Crews conducted a safety check to ensure there was no additional
Passer-by Phil New told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The lorry seemed
to get wedged under the canopy. It was quite a sight and attracted
lots of interest from passers by."
Another onlooker added: "The lorry driver looked pretty
embarrassed by the whole episode!"
