Police appeal for witnesses after woman killed in M5 bridge fall

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman fell from the over-bridge at junction 21 of the M5 motorway at Weston and died.

The incident occurred on the southbound carriageway just before 11pm on Thursday night (2nd June) and led to the motorway being closed for several hours, delaying traffic travelling towards Burnham-On-Sea.

Police are appealing for anyone who was driving along this route at the time to contact them on 0845 456 7000 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. The woman was aged 42 and from the Weston area.
